Sometimes We Need A Break
Dear Reader,
I write often about embracing every aspect of what makes you a woman, to live confidently in your skin no matter how society tries to repress you. I believe that you should embrace your Goddess and allow her to take the reigns wherever you fancy to go. We live in a world where women are still considered second-hand citizens, and while it appears more subtle nowadays, it's still there. The fight to be heard, to be understood, to be protected, to be loved as more than a child-bearer is still necessary. And if you need a reminder of how amazing you are, you can refer to my other post here, however this post is for those days where you don't feel 100%.
It's important to note that this positive, forward-thinking mindset isn't always possible, sometimes we need a break. There are moments where we aren't going to feel like we can take on the world, sometimes there are moments where we just want to hide away. There may be moments where you feel isolated from your significant other, or times where you don't feel very feminine.
And you know what? That's okay. ❤
Life has always pushed me in one way or another to accept this persona that can be strong enough for everyone else. I became what everyone else needed and forgot to take care of myself along the way. Don't allow yourself the same outcome. Don't allow emotional turmoil to stack on top itself until the slightest phrase whispered to you has it tumbling apart. Don't disrespect the boundaries you've set in place for the comfort of others. Don't sacrifice your peace for the sake of others. There's nothing wrong with taking care of self because if you crash and burn you can't be there for anyone else. That's a hard lesson I'm still learning to this day and with everyone being one breath away from full-blown panic, it's really important to find your center of zen. Find those things that calm you, that comfort you. Find those moments that cradle you until you feel ready to try again. Find that voice that's strong enough to say no when you need time alone.
Because frankly, Dear Reader, if you find yourself in a situation where you need a break, take one. It's not bad. You're not lazy. It is important and you don't need someone to validate your need for space or peace. Those days where things don't make sense are apart of the process. They are apart of your journey and essential to your success. So take as much time as you need and when you're ready-
Put your crown back on and return to your divine nature 💓
