Let's Get Acquintated
Dear Reader,
Welcome to a sacred sexual sanctuary. A slice of the internet that explores sex from within without shame.
My name is Darkia, and this blog is one that I hope will expand into a platform that encourages one to think differently about sex. This blog is tailored to be a space for women by a black woman. This space isn't meant to solely focus on the physical enticement but that of the emotional and mental, this is a blog tailored to the Goddess within. This space is intimate, erotic, sensual, and everything surrounding it. Even if you're not a woman, or don't identify as one, there's something to be gained here, all I ask is that you interact respectively. 💓
Too often sex is only viewed through that of the male lens, too often sex is used as a distraction or disconnection. This blog is meant to bridge that gap, between your spirit and body. I won't tell you what to do with your body, and I won't pretend to know what's the best thing to do with your body. Instead, I want to encourage you to explore how sacred and how powerful the core of your femininity can be.
Because that's a journey I'm still on myself, trying to embrace what it means to be feminine and embody that energy because it's not weak, it's not fragile. I grew up in a family where that of a woman's sexuality was meant to be protected(which is good) and if I chose to have sex make sure it was with someone who made me feel special. There's nothing wrong with finding the right connection but what about the one with yourself? I wasn't taught to embrace my feminine energy, to cater to the woman who knows herself and her body. Instead, I feared it, I neglected it. I felt shame about it. To explore one's body as a woman means to feel guilty of the strong emotions cascading over you. That was my experience anyway and throughout my life, I've learned that other women share the same.
Fuck that narrative. There's nothing to be ashamed of, there's nothing wrong with being a woman who enjoys pleasure, the most important thing is you do it safely. Protect not only your body but your spirit. Explore what your body has and what makes it come alive. Feel what it means to empower yourself beyond what society deems acceptable and "lady-like". Break the chains of inferiority and play with power men don't want you to have.
My dear ladies, my beautiful women, those who seek to find and cherish their feminine, this is for you. This blog will consist of erotic poetry.
Poetry that I will hope will transform those hidden pleasures into narratives that you can consume, enjoy or even inspire you. There will also be what I'd like to call, Sexual Reflections.
Which consists of articles, short stories, or simply a rant that seeks to interpret and deconstruct aspects of sexuality that we don't see too often in society. That can be anything from deconstructing the secrecy around masturbation to exploring different kinks. Then there is the artwork.
Artwork that is visually sexy but not crude. Art that combines reality and fantasy. More on that soon ;) And last but not least, the Playlist of Euphoria.
I hope to create a playlist of songs that stroke the sexual prowess in you like no other, songs from various genres that allow you to feel like a Goddess. Music has an incredibly powerful way of pouring energy over you in ways words or art can not. I hope these things sound like something you'd like to try. And if it doesn't, that's okay. Consent matters here.
With that being said, let's find euphoria.
I hope to see you soon. 💙
A beautiful and calming intro. The blog definitely feels like a safe space. I can't wait to see what other kind of things you write. Especially the poetry!
